For the Love of Dorothy Dandridge

Actor Peter Lawford was married to one of the Kennedy sisters (Patricia), but before that marriage he only had eyes for the beautiful Dorothy Dandridge, Many say that Dorothy was the TRUE LOVE OF HIS LIFE, These two almost went public with their relationship at a Cole Porter party, but at the last minute they both agreed that it would be a bad move for both of their careers. Thus the two arrived at the party separately
Peter was suppose to speak at Dorothy’s funeral, but he was so overcome with emotion that that he was unable to deliver the eulogy.

Dorothy Dandridge broke down racial barriers and set the path for black actresses. She become the first black female to be nominated for an Academy Award in the Best Actress category for her role in Carmen Jones. Hollywood couldn’t appreciate Ms. Dandridge simply because she was black. She will always be a legend in my eyes. The epitome of grace, class, beauty, and sophistication.

"If I were white, I could capture the world." ~ Dorothy Jean Dandridge
